JIPCET is an independent, international, peer-reviewed journal focused on how emerging technologies are developed, applied, evaluated and transformed into products, systems and real-world value.
Why JIPCET exists
Technology research increasingly crosses traditional academic boundaries. Artificial intelligence, software platforms, digital products, human–computer interaction and emerging technologies cannot always be understood within a single discipline.
JIPCET was established to provide a peer-reviewed venue for research examining this intersection. The journal particularly welcomes work that connects technological innovation with product development, human use, adoption, implementation and real-world outcomes.
Origin
JIPCET began from an academic effort to create a practical, rigorous peer-review workflow for research at the intersection of computing, emerging technologies, products and innovation. The initial editorial workflow was developed and tested within an academic environment at the University of Missouri–Kansas City before being expanded into an independent international journal.
The journal was launched in 2024 and is now digitising that workflow: we refined the process internally, built a lightweight independent journal around it, invited researchers we already knew and trusted to participate, and are now opening it to the wider research community.
Editorial Board
JIPCET's editorial board brings together professors and thought leaders from universities across the United States, Canada and Australia. To protect our reviewers' privacy, the full roster of board members, their affiliations and ORCID profiles is available to registered readers.

Human-Supervised Peer Review
All peer review at JIPCET is conducted under named human editorial supervision. A human editor reads every manuscript, oversees every review and approves every decision on the record. AI is used only to assist with initial submission screening, metadata extraction, reviewer matching and workflow coordination; it never issues a review or a decision.
