Publication Process

JIPCET is an independent journal and publishes on its own terms. Its identification, registration and indexing arrangements are set out here.

Article identifiers. Every article carries a JIPCET Research ID in the form JPC-26-00142, which JIPCET resolves itself at jipcet.org/r/JPC-26-00142, together with a permanent article URL and its JIPCET article reference. The full record — version history, review and handling trail, methodology, data and code availability, references, replication and corrections — is published for every article in the research registry and as machine-readable JSON. External identifiers are optional and secondary: where one is registered it is recorded alongside the Research ID rather than in place of it.

Why we run our own layer. Persistent identification, citation linking, versioning, metadata and long-term resolution are real problems, and an identifier says nothing about the quality of the work it points at. JIPCET therefore operates that infrastructure directly instead of treating an external registry as a prerequisite for publishing, and remains free to register with citation-linking services as the journal grows.

Versions, not silent edits. A change to a published record produces a new numbered version with a dated entry in its version history, so a citation always refers to a specific version of a specific research object.

Serial registration. JIPCET does not display an ISSN. The journal identifies its work through its own scheme — a JIPCET Research ID, a JIPCET article reference and a permanent article URL — and does not treat a serial registry as a condition of publishing. If a serial number is ever formally assigned to JIPCET, it will be published here as an additional identifier, not as the basis of the journal's identity.

Indexing. JIPCET is not listed in Scopus, Web of Science or DOAJ and makes no indexing claim. It operates outside commercial indexing infrastructure by choice, and asks to be judged on what a reader can inspect directly: the named board, the review and handling record on every article, the published methodology, data and code statements, and the version history. Discovery is served by open means instead — Google Scholar / Highwire, Dublin Core, PRISM and schema.org metadata on every article page, open feeds, and permanent article URLs as the canonical citation links. Any future listing will be stated here only when readers can resolve it themselves at that service.

External identifiers. No DOI or other external registry identifier is displayed for JIPCET articles. Registry participation is optional and additive; the Research ID, version and permanent URL are what a citation needs, and JIPCET resolves them itself.

Publisher. JIPCET is published by the independent JIPCET Editorial Office. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or published under any university press, commercial publisher, society or parent journal, and no other publication's identity or registration is used to describe it.

Editorial independence. The Editor-in-Chief does not handle, review or decide on manuscripts he has authored or co-authored; such submissions are assigned to an independent editor of record, and the handling editor is recorded for every published article. Where an issue was assembled before an independent editor was in place, the journal does not publish work authored by the Editor-in-Chief.
