How the cycle works
- Manuscripts received after an issue's deadline roll forward automatically to the next open issue — nothing is returned for timing alone.
- Median time from submission to first decision is targeted at 56 days; accepted articles appear online ahead of the printed issue.
- Reviewers are given 28 days per report and receive two reminders; overdue invitations are reassigned in week five.
Dates are indicative of the published schedule and may shift if an article needs an additional round of review. Authors are notified directly of any change affecting their manuscript.
