Privacy Notice

When you create an account we store your name and email address. When you submit a manuscript or accept an editorial invitation we may also store your affiliation, ORCID iD, a short biography and the manuscript metadata (title, abstract, keywords and document links) you provide.

If you write to us through the contact form, we store your name, email and message so the editorial office can reply.

Email addresses are held in our secured journal database and are used only for journal purposes: sign-in, submission receipts, peer-review correspondence, editorial invitations and replies to enquiries. We never sell or share email addresses with advertisers, and author or reviewer emails are never published on article pages.

An ORCID iD is a public, persistent identifier for researchers. We store the iD you give us alongside your profile so your published work can be correctly attributed. ORCID iDs are displayed only where you have consented to be listed — for example, on the signed-in editorial board roster — and are otherwise visible only to the editorial office. You can ask us to update or remove your iD at any time.

• Public visitors see only published article metadata — author names and affiliations on published papers. No emails, no ORCID lists.
• Signed-in readers can additionally view the editorial board roster, because editorial participation is a matter of scholarly record.
• The editorial office (admins) can view submissions, review assignments, invitations and contact messages in order to run the journal.

JIPCET uses AI tools to assist with manuscript screening, metadata extraction and reviewer matching. Manuscript text and metadata you submit may be processed by these systems, but editorial decisions are always made by human editors and reviewers. AI processing does not change who can see your data.

You can review your account details in the author portal. To correct your affiliation or ORCID iD, withdraw an unpublished submission, or request a copy or deletion of your personal data, contact the editorial office through the contact form (choose “Privacy / data request”) or email the office directly. Published articles form part of the permanent scholarly record and are handled under our ethics and corrections policy.

Account, submission and review records are kept for the life of the journal to preserve the scholarly record. Contact-form messages are retained for up to 24 months. All data is stored on encrypted, access-controlled infrastructure with row-level access rules, and sign-in is handled through email verification or Google sign-in — we never see or store your password in readable form.
